Out of beta – Car Dock Home v3 (3.0)
I’ve taken it out of beta. I believe I’ve fixed the issues with any of the crash reports I’ve seen. It should now be tolerant of picking random files that are not images when customizing icons.
On launch, if another app is set as the default car home, it will display that app name, and provide a button to get you as far as Android will let me toward clearing the defaults for that app.. you have to find the app, and click the clear defaults, the OS won’t let an app do that for you.
A few other little tweaks. I also changed the app icon, to help differentiate from my Car Dock v2 app.
Hit the market for all the fun…

I recently fixed an issue causing v3 to close immediately after launch when not in a true car dock. Give it another try, hopefully it will work better for you now.

Sorry about that, but if you look at the fine print on those items in the UI, wifi is not intended to be re-enabled. I’m planning to change this so you will have more control on dock and undock events.

On my Droid 2 Global, about 1/4 of the time the app starts up with no icons visible. Only fix is to back out and relaunch. Otherwise, this is great. Any ideas?

I have Car Dock Home v3 (3.0.1) installed on my Droid 1 and I have it set to disable wifi/enable bluetooth upon docking and enable wifi/disable bluetooth upon undocking. It seems as though it does not re-enable wifi at the undock.
